Open Question: Wife’s car ran out of gas, she mixed 87 and 89 octane and now its running bad and engine light is on…?
My wife ran out of gas the other day well she called me and I told her I was on my way and then she denied me to come. She said she could handle it. Well shortly there after she decided to have someone bring her 1 gallon of 87 octane gas. She put it in and it would turn over. From that point on she went and filled it up to half tank with 89 gas. She got it to turn over but now when she accelerates it jerks and runs rough along with the check engine light staying on. I have no clue whats going on or whats wrong now. I figured if I’ll put some fuel injection cleaner in and run out the gas it will solve the problem. I hope she didn’t mess up the engine or anything. (I’m still working on burning out the fuel). What can I do and what is wrong? Mind you the car is a 2005 Chrysler 300 Limited. Also after running it for a while it shuts off and I have to restart it.

Open Question: Car overheated badly…will start but will not stay running once I take my foot off the gas?
My mother has a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica, yesterday it overheated on her and she tried to make it home. She said the temp gauge was pegged at the top and she tried to pull over. When she pulled over the car stalled. We had it towed to our house and found out one of the hoses was bad. We replaced it and tried to start the truck. It will start and run as long as I keep my foot on the gas. The minute I take it off it chokes and dies. What could be wrong? Spark plugs? Head gasket?
